Evaluation: 8/7/16- 6-foot-4, 185-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Projectable pitchers build. Wider shoulders with long legs; should continue to add strength and velocity. Crouched balance point with tuck and turn delivery. Quick hand out front. Running action on fastball, downhill plane, at 84-88 mph. 11/5 curveball shows solid shape and depth. 10/4 slider has early sweeping break. Both pitches thrown with above avg. hand speed. Changeup shows solid fade at 77-79 mph.

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
SCHULTZ: I have talked to about 15 different schools in the past few weeks.

PBR: Have you taken any visits? Do you have any scheduled in the near future?
SCHULTZ: I have visited 6 schools, and have a couple more visits in the next few weeks.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?
SCHULTZ: I am interested in Science, so an ideal school would have strong Biology and Chemistry programs. Pretty open to location.

PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
SCHULTZ: Making it to the Sub-state finals after winning the first 2 games in extra innings. Hitting a walk off home run against Waterloo West.

PBR: What are your goals for this year? 
SCHULTZ: Help Cedar Falls make it to the state tournament.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

SCHULTZ: I have a 28 ACT and a 3.8 GPA.
