Evaluation: 8/7/16- 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Athletic frame with present strength. Dual sport football/baseball player, tall setup, collapses into launch position, clean bat path, loud contact, mid/pull approach, 92 mph exit velocity. Tracks ball well in outfield, fields out front, slightly stiff arm action, accurate to target, 83 mph arm strength. Very good athlete, explosive actions, raw mechanics, should make serious jumps once dedicated to baseball everyday.

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
KOERNER: Schools that have been showing me baseball interest have been South Dakota State, Truman State, Iowa Central, Indian Hills, Kirkwood, and a few others.

PBR: Have you taken any visits? Do you have any scheduled in the near future?
KOERNER: So far I have not taken any baseball visits but I am hoping to take a few soon

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?
KOERNER: The things I look for in a school are, strong academics (particularly in business), and a successful program with good coaches.

PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
KOERNER: Some of my highlights from junior year were being a major contributor to a successful 30-11 team. On an individual basis, I am proud that I was able to lead the team in stolen bases as well as being among the leaders in runs scored, runs batted in, and on base percentage. It was also an honor to be named All-District.

PBR: What are your goals for this year? 
KOERNER: My goals for senior year are to be a leader on the team and help Dowling win a state championship. It also would be a great honor be named All-State.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
KOERNER: Yes, I also play football.

PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?
KOERNER: My GPA is a 3.7 and my ACT is a 26 which I am planning to improve when I retake it this fall.
