PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
HEINEN: Most Iowa Division 3 schools like Buena Vista, Luther, Simpson, and Wartburg. Along with some out of state schools like University of Northwestern in St. Paul Mn. – A few Division 2 schools (Minnesota St.) – A few junior college programs as well (Kirkwood, DMACC in Boone, and Iowa Western) – And a couple NAIA schools have showed interest; Concordia in Nebraska and Morningside in Sioux City, IA.
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
HEINEN: I have not taken many visits at this time. I did take a visit to Kirkwood CC and had great experience. I’m looking forward to getting on more campuses after Football is over this Fall. I recently scheduled a visit to Morningside as well.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?
HEINEN: I would like to play baseball at the highest level that I possibly could but I also value academics and want to get the best on and off the field experience.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
HEINEN: The #1 highlight was winning a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP at Urbandale. Having a successful state tournament offensively and being able to put pressure on the base paths and stealing a few bases was exciting. Stealing 34 out of 34 bases during my junior year. I also was 1st team CIML All-Conference, 1st team all-district and 1st team all-state for the Iowa Coaches Association.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
HEINEN: My number one goal would be to make it back to the State Tournament and see if we can win another State Championship. I would also like to break the all-time stolen base record for Urbandale High School. The record is 38 and I feel like I can get that my senior year. Another goal is to have fun and compete on a day to day basis playing the game I love one last time for Urbandale High School!
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
HEINEN: Football
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
HEINEN: Current ACT Score – 26 and GPA 3.9
