The 2024 Idaho high school baseball season is finally here and as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Idaho.

Questionnaires were sent out to all Idaho High School coaches to provide insight on their programs. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Idaho. With the season already underway, our staff will look to provide some insight on how team's season have started, as well as their outlook the rest of the way.

The Blackfoot Broncos enter the season with plenty of momentum following a strong 2023 season thaw saw them go 18-9 with a record of 12-3 in conference play. Dax Whitney is the ace of the staff and the top-ranked 2024 in Idaho was dominant on the mound last year with a 1.03 ERA and a staggering 91 punchouts to 15 walks over 47.2 innings last year. Whitney can get it done with the bat too and the team returns several key offensive contributors that should provide plenty of run support for the Broncos pitching staff. Blackfoot will be a fun team to watch in Idaho's 4A class and we begin to break down everything you need about the team as they're already 1-1 on the season with a win over Pocatello and loss to Madison.
