As we wrap up the summer 2023, we now continue our coverage of the talent we've seen so far this year in Idaho with 'Uncommitted Spotlights' of the top prospects still on the board from the past events. This summer proved, yet again, that the talent in Idaho runs deep and these Uncommitted Spotlights are used to highlight players with tools that will play at the collegiate level.

These spotlights help paint a picture of the prospect with the help of our TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance and Vizual Edge systems, that provides objective data that teams use to identify and break down players they believe will fit into their system.

Today, we continue our Idaho Top Uncommitted Spotlights with a look at 2024 C/3B Cooper Smith of Lake City HS who showed well this weekend at the Northern Idaho Open and attended the West Coast Games last month in Las Vegas.

Hit: LHH. Squared, athletic set up. Subtle sink back load. Efficient into the zone. Excellent barrel awareness. Lived in the big part of the yard. Consistent line drive producer. Controlled, balanced finish. 
Power: Max TrackMan Exit Velocity - 85.0, Avg. TrackMan Exit Velocity - 77.4 mph. 
Arm: RH. IF - 74 mph. C - 68 mph.
Defense: IF. Confident infield action. Feet work well to position him to stay fluid through the fielding process. Presents glove well. Easy lateral range with feel for the forehand and backhand play. C. Athletic actions behind the plate. Efficient catch and throw. Present flexibility in his set up. Hands and forearm strength allows him to handle velo. 
Run: 7.62 runner in the 60.
