Idaho Falls Open | Bandits Scout Day: Quick Hits

The Idaho Falls Open / Bandits Scout Day is in the books and now we move into the post event coverage, breaking down and highlighting the standouts from the event with Quick Hits, Stat Leaderboards, Blast Motion Leaderboards and Pitching Leaderboards. 

At this event, we retrieved a significant amount of data on each player including: 60 Times measured by Swift Syncro, Batting Practice measured by TrackMan, Catch Pop Time and Velocity, Outfield Evaluation and Velocity, Infield Evaluation and Velocity and Pitcher Bullpens analyzed and assessed by TrackMan. We pride ourselves on utilizing the latest technology in the game to provide the most accurate data for both the player and those recruiting/evaluating the player.

Brody Jacksha - belgrade (mt) | 2023 | of

The 6-foot-3, 190 pound product out of Belgrade, MT produced another impressive performance at the Idaho Falls Open / Bandits Scout Day as he lead or was near the top of every statistical category that applied to him. The size mixed with the present ability at the plate makes him an intriguing corner outfield prospect with that could add power to heart of the lineup. His wider based set up with a simple rhythm and allows him to be on time and consistently find the barrel with his present power on display as he left the yard multiple times during his round.

Jayden Jacksha - Belgrade (MT) | 2024 | IF

The younger brother of Brody features a similar build, standing at 6-foot-0, 190 pounds with proportionate strength throughout his frame. He got the Idaho Falls Open / Bandits Scout Day going with one of the most impressive batting practice sessions of the day, living in the big part of the yard with flashes of power potential to the pull side using his smooth left-handed stroke. He showcased present defensive actions that only project to improve as his foot speed continues to progress with a shift to 3B in the future being a possibility if he continues to add strength and size similar to his brother. A potential corner infield, power bat from the left side will make for an interesting follow over the next few years.

Martin Serrano - Pocatello | 2024 | C

A player that came in the event with high praise, Serrano lived up to it with present advanced actions on both sides of the ball with a lean, 6-foot-3 frame that projects to add significant size and strength over the next fews years that could help take his game to another level. He flashes pull side power at the plate using a repeatable, compact stroke with some lift through extension that will play at the next level as the power is expected to continue to trend in the right direction. Along with his impressive offensive performance, he also stood out behind the dish as well as he earned the Top Pop Time of the event with a PBR Verified 1.96 as well as an event best Catcher Velocity at 75 mph. This is a player to keep on your radar as he could be an impressive signing for whoever lands him.

Tommy Woodcock - Sugar Salem | C | 2024

The Sugar Salem product continues to prove why his is in the conversation of being one of the top backstops in Idaho's 2024 Class. The 5-foot-9, 170 pound prospect understands how to utilize his size and present strength in each part of his game, earning a 1.98 Pop Time that is expected to progress as his foot speed continues to improve to go with his advanced receiving using his strength in his forearms and hands as well as his active blocking skills that should allow him to handle a staff at the next level. Offensively, he lived in the big part of the yard with some flashes of power potential with most of his success at the plate coming when he lives back up the middle with some left-centerfield tendencies. Keep Woodcock on you radar as a high level receiver that could handle velocity and the running game.
