With more than 50 nominations for Player of The Week again this week, our work was cut out for us again, but one player stood out, tying a KHSAA record in the process.

Frederick Douglass 2022 LHP/1B Gavin Faulkner put up video game like numbers for the week of March 28-April 2. In five games during that span, the Eastern Kentucky University recruit went 8-for-14 with a double, 5 HR's and 15 RBI while also picking up a win on the mound, working 5 innings and allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run with 8 strikeouts.

Faulkner's five home runs came in five consecutive games, tying a KHSAA recrod for most cosecutive games with a home run.

For his outstanding performance on the field, Gavin Faulkner has been selected as the PBR Kentucky Player of The Week for March 28-April 2.
