Underclass Games: Team White Analysis

By Chris Fuller
Kentucky Scouting Director

The PBR Kentucky Underclass Games was held August 24 and 25 at Madison Central HS and Eastern Kentucky University.  The talent on the White Team was loaded with talent as several players showed well and established themselves as top players in their respective class.

A few performances to note:

Zach Hurley (2015 RHP/OF, North Laurel HS) was not able to attend the position player showcase but his fastball sat 85-87 and touched 88 mph, and he also smoked a double and triple in game play.

Stewart Currie (2016 RHP, Daviess County HS) attended his first PBR event and jumped right into the conversation of top arms in the 2016 class.  The lanky 6-foot-6, 175-pound right-hander showed a fastball that sat consistently 83-84 mph.

Tyler Neeley (2015 1B Trinity HS) continues to show plus bat speed, this time registering a 95 mph tee exit velocity.

Griffin McLarty (2016 RHP/3B, Oldham County HS) attended his first PBR event an impressed with a solid all-around game, including on the mound where his fastball sat 81-84 mph.

Cam Hill (2017 SS. Scott County HS) has undoubtedly established himself as one of the top few prospects in the 2017 class.

Keaton Reitz ran the top 60 of the event with a 6.90.
