All-State Games: Stats Breakdown

The All State Games took place on Saturday, November 2nd at Alex Box Stadium on the Campus of Louisiana State University. The invite only event saw 80+ prospects from across the state of Louisiana.
We begin our instant analysis from Saturday’s event with a look at some top statistical performers. We measured six separate categories and we’ll detail the leaders in each category below.
19+ players turned in sub-7.00 second 60s on Saturday. Caleb Stelly (Parkview Baptist HS, LA) turned in the top 60-yard dash time of the event, posting a 6.70-second time. While Louisiana-Lafayette recruit Gavin Schulz (Holy Cross HS, LA) and Josh Pearson (West Monroe HS, LA) both turned in sub-6.80 times as Schulz clocked in a 6.72 and Pearson with a 6.76.
The All State Games had several pitchers standout with 9 players touching 85 mph or better. Jake Cohen (John Curtis HS, LA) and Seaver Sheets (Sterlington HS, LA) led the way on the mound, both running their fastball up to an event best 90 mph. While Tyler Pope (Alexandria HS, LA) also showed well on Saturday, running his fastball up to 89 mph.
This years event saw 21 players with an exit velocity of 90 mph or better. Rylon Ganey (Tioga HS, LA) led the exit velocity leaderboard on Saturday, posting 97 mph off a tee. Michael Latulas (Loreauville HS, LA), Josh Pearson (West Monroe HS, LA), Tyler Pope (Alexandria HS, LA) and Jack Parks (Cedar Creek HS, LA) all posted a 95 mph exit velocity coming in at the number 2 spot.
Seaver Sheets (Sterlington HS, LA) showed off quality arm strength on Saturday, posting an event best 94 mph positional velocity from the infield. While Tyler Pope (Alexandria HS, LA) and Bailyn Sorensen (Riverfield HS, LA) followed him at the top of the leaderboard, posting an infield positional velocity of 87 mph. Louisiana-Lafayette recruit Kyle Debarge also showed well going 86 mph across the diamond.
Brayden Spedale (Denham Springs HS, LA) topped the leaderboard with an event best 91 mph positional velocity from the outfield, while While Tyler Pope (Alexandria HS, LA) and Cole Stromboe (Brother Martin HS, LA) checked-in right behind him with Pope going 89 mph and Stromboe 88 mph from the outfield.
Bailyn Sorensen (Riverfield HS, LA) posted an event best 81 mph positional velocity for catchers, while also posting a 2.01-second pop time. David Brumfield (Albany HS, LA) also found himself atop the leaderboard, posting a 78 mph positional velocity with a 1.97-second pop time. While Carson Carey (Airline HS, LA) was 77 mph from behind the dish with a 2.01 pop time.
