It's hard to believe that we are closing in on the end of the 2021 summer.  This summer has been one of the best in recent memory and a large part of that is due to the fact that college recruiters have been able to get back out and see players.  2022 Brylan Green (Lafayette Christian Academy) was one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state, heading into the summer, in both baseball and football.  The defensive back led Lafayette Christian to their fourth straight state championship in the fall of 2020 and was also named to the Prep Baseball Report Louisiana All-State Team as an outfielder.  The two-sport star's recruiting process came to an end yesterday, as he verbally committed to Liberty University, and will play both football and baseball.  Green took the time to discuss his recruiting process and offer up advice for future two-sport prospects in today's edition of "Commitment Spotlight".  

 

-You were considered one of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2022 class, in both baseball and football, and had offers from several schools.  What led you to commit to Liberty University?

Liberty just felt like home.  Everyone took me in with open arms it just felt like family over there.

 

-As a two-sport athlete, that is going to play multiple sports at the collegiate level; what advice would you give to future two-sport prospects coming up the ranks?

Never put all your apples in one basket.  Playing multiple sports also helps you in many different aspects in each sport.  I will also say that time management will play a major role if you're trying to do multiple sports.  Time management plays a key role off the field also, because grades, at the end of the day, are the most important thing.  Lastly, taking care of your body is key.

 

-We all have a support system that ensures that we stay on the right track.  Who would you like to thank for helping you get to this point today?

Definitely God and my family.  Without them; I wouldn't be in the position I'm in today.
