Future Games Spotlight: RHP Thomas Wilhite

The annual PBR Future Games is fast-approaching; as the country’s top uncommitted underclassmen will descend upon Grand Park in Indianapolis, IN August 2nd through August 5th.
It’s the seventh edition of the prestigious event, and it has become the premier event in the country for recruiters and underclass prospects alike. The Future Games started with just four teams, but will have 20 this year, with 400 players coming from the states in PBR’s comprehensive coverage area.
Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, more than 150 colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the nation.

Scouting Report
Strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, athletic build, strong lower half, projects well. Short, in-line arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed, solid balance, and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sits 85-89 mph with solid tilt and command in the zone. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape, solid spin, occasional sharp break and fastball arm speed at 70-72 mph. Also shows advanced feel for a changeup with sinking action that bites hard in on right-handed hitters, and fastball arm speed at 78-80 mph.
