Game Recap:

THIBODEAUX, LA – The Prep Baseball Report Louisiana scouting staff headed over to ED White high school on Monday afternoon, as the Cardinals hosted John Curtis high school.

The Cardinals would move to 11-0 on the year, claiming an 8-1 win over the defending Division-I state champion Patriots.

2020 LHP Blair Robichaux (ED White HS, LA) was impressive Monday, picking up the win in a complete game effort, allowing only one run on three hits, while striking out five in seven innings of work.

Louisiana State recruit, 2019 OF Wes Toups (ED White HS, LA) got the scoring started in the first inning, as the left-handed hitter belted an RBI double down the right-field line. Toups would finish the day 1-for-2 with two RBI, and two runs scored.

2020 3B Devin DeSandro (ED White HS, LA) would also have a big day offensively for the Cardinals, as the right-handed hitter would finish the contest 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored.

2020 1B Brayden Walters (ED White HS, LA) would put the game away late for the Cardinals, as the physical right-handed hitter would blast a 2-run homer over the left-field wall in the bottom of the 6th, finishing the day 2-for-4.

Nicholls State recruit, 2020 SS Parker Coddou (ED White HS, LA) would also have a productive day atop the Cardinal lineup, as the left-handed hitter would finish the day 1-for-1, with a double, drawing three walks, driving in one, and scoring two runs.

2019 C Jack Meyer (ED White HS, LA) would collect two hits himself, finishing the day 2-for-3, while 2019 OF Thomas McGoey (ED White HS, LA) would finish the day 1-for-3 with a double, and showed off plus speed, giving a home-to-1st time of 4.2-seconds from the right side.

Louisiana-Lafayette recruit, 2019 OF Dax Ford (John Curtis HS, LA) would lead the way for the Patriots, as the left-handed hitter would finish the day 1-for-2 with an RBI. While 2021 3B Michael Curtis (John Curtis HS, LA) would show a simple, direct path from the left side, and finish the contest 1-for-3.
