With the recent release of our Updated Class of 2021 State Rankings, our scouting staff took a deeper dive into the prospects in the 2021 class. By position, we will comb through the list, highlighting some of the top talent in each class. In this installment, we will take a look at outfielders in the 2021 class.

Louisiana's 2021 player rankings includes 34 total outfielders overall including 4 prospects ranked in the top 15, 8 in the top 25 and  and 28 in the top 100. At the top of the outfielder rankings is Louisiana’s No. 1 overall prospect, Josh Pearson (West Monroe HS). The premium left-handed bat is a Louisiana State recruit and yet another in the long line of Pearson’s which has become one of Louisiana’s well known baseball families over the years.

Pearson is followed up by another Louisiana State recruit in No. 5 Joshua Stevenson (St. Thomas More HS), yet another well known baseball name around the state. Just behind the pair of LSU recruits are a pair committed to Louisiana-Lafayette in No. 11 Ian Montz (Acadiana HS) and No. 14 Mason Zambo(Catholic (BR) HS).
