After the JUCO Wire got off to a hot start on Day One with the selections of Cam Collier in the 1st round and Jacob Misiorowski in the 2nd, it burned even brighter on Day Two. A total of eight JC talents were selected during rounds 3-10.

2022 MLB Draft- JC selections:

1st Round, 3B Cam Collier (Chipola) to Cincinnati: An Illinois native, Collier is one of the youngest players in the draft, and a standout spring against junior college talent makes it easier to envision his success and future upside. He profiles as an everyday third baseman at the Major League level.

2nd Round, RHP Jacob Misiorowski (Crowder) to Milwaukee: FB works at 96-102 mph and jumps in the zone with late action. Very good spin on power SL 88-93 mph with deception and a big, late break with hard diving action. CH was 84-85 mph with deception and sink. Has big-time stuff now, with three potential plus pitches, feel for pitching and intangibles to be a top-of-the-rotation starter at the Major League level.

Control over command type. Lively two-seam FB 90-92 with arm side sink/run. Four-seam 94-95. Diving SL 83 mph at 2650 rpm. CH 83-85 as third pitch. See as a middle of rotation sinker/slider guy.

Plus raw power, can drive to all fields. First step quickness and good footwork. Strong, accurate throwing arm. Has offensive and defensive abilities to become everyday 3B at the Major League level.

6th Round, RHP Tyler Woessner (Central Arizona) to Milwaukee: Big, strong pitcher’s body with FB 93-97 and hard, late life. Throws quality FBs in the zone. Good spin on big, sharp deceptive SL 84-87 with hard, late diving action. CH has deception and sink. Two plus pitches with power stuff and ability to repeat delivery and pound the strike zone. Aggressive and really competes. Chance to be middle of rotation starter.

8th Round, RHP Wesley Scott (Walters State) to Kansas City:
Strong, durable pitcher's body with a quick arm. FB 92-94 with late tail and sink. Movement to both sides of the plate on FB. SL 81-84 has tight spin with deceptive, late diving action. CH has deception and sink. Misses barrels. Strong performance in the MLB Draft League. Has stuff, command and upside to pitch at the back end of the rotation.

9th Round, C Tayden Hall (State College of Florida Manatee) to Milwaukee: Offensive type catcher. Has present strength and a good approach at the plate. Ability to catch up to high velocity and square ball up on a consistent basis. Throughout the spring and in the MLB Draft League showed the ability to improve on making adjustments and track pitches. Solid defensive skills behind the plate with enough throwing ability. Has plus power with a big upside offensively. Chance to stay behind plate and also the offensive ability for 1B.

10th Round, RHP Wyatt Cheney (McLennan) to Baltimore:
Live, athletic type body with good arm speed. FB 90-93 with late tail and some sink. SL 81-83 is tight, deceptive with big, sharp late diving action. Has a feel for a CH with deception and sink. Knows how to pitch off his FB but the SL will be an out pitch. Has pitchability and should have plus command. Solid stuff with plus command and potential to be back of the rotation starter.

10th Round, C Gustavo Sosa (South Mountain) to Philadelphia: Offensive catcher with an advanced approach at the plate. Strong performance in the MLB Draft League. Squares the ball up consistently and has the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Tracks the ball well and catches up to high velo. Plus power potential.
