Marceaux Makes First Start

ZACHARY, LA  Ì¶  Louisiana State recruit, and member of the PBR Draft 100, Landon Marceaux (Destrehan HS, LA), made his first start of the 2018 season on Friday in a 4:00 PM matchup with undefeated Sam Houston HS.

The Prep Baseball Report Louisiana scouting staff, along with a dozen or so professional scouts, were on hand for Marceaux’s regular season debut, as the right-hander was crisp in six innings of work.

Marceaux would get a no-decision in the outing, as Sam Houston would go on to defeat the Wildcats in extra innings, before defeating Zachary HS, 5-4, in the 7:00 PM matchup of two of the premier teams in the state.

Coach Chad Hebert, and the Broncos, remain unbeaten through 14 games this season, and look primed to repeat their success of 2017 that saw a run to the semi-finals. Although the lineup features many new faces, the Broncos offense is athletic, dynamic, and explosive.

2019 OF Braden Duhon (Sam Houston HS, LA) is a spark plug at the top of the order, while Louisiana Tech recruit, 2019 C Silas Ardoin (Sam Houston HS, LA), not only plays a big role offensively for the Broncos, but also makes an impact on defense with his strike stealing, and run game control, ability.

Below are a few scouting notes on Marceaux’s outing, with video, as well as a few other standouts for the undefeated Broncos.
