Thanks to the technology of Google Analytics we are able to drill down into the Prep Baseball Report website and, in particular, see what pages get the most page views.  This feedback assists us in adjusting and adapting our coverage.  It’s also interesting to see what our readership likes the most.

Below we take a look at the Top 10 most read Louisiana high school player profiles from August 2017:

Drew McDaniel RHP / St. Thomas More, LA / 2019

Ole Miss recruit, currently ranked No. 5 in Louisiana's 2019 class, No. 63 Overall. Lean 6-foot-1, 160-pound frame, long limbs with plenty of room to add strength. Although he is young for his graduation year, McDaniel is one of the top right-handers in Louisiana’s 2019 class. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Athletic delivery with rhythm, level shoulders, solid direction at times, but has a tendency to work across his body at times, falling to the first base side of the rubber. Tossed two innings over three days, showing electric stuff on Thursday, as he struck out three batters in one inning of work. Pitching 87-91 mph with his fastball, he creates deception to his delivery with his long limbs, making at-bats uncomfortable for hitters. Displayed a quality 4-pitch mix on Thursday, including a changeup with hard, late fading action at 78-80 mph, a curveball with depth and spin at 70-74 mph, and slider with tight spin and late break at 76-77 mph.

Thomas Wilhite RHP / 3B / West Ouachita, LA / 2019

Currently ranked No. 3 in Louisiana's 2019 class, No. 58 Overall. Strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, durable build with thick, powerful lower half. Medium, clean arm stroke into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed, and little effort. Fluid, athletic delivery with level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Cemented himself as one of the top arms in Louisiana’s 2019 class, showing quality stuff at the nation’s premier underclass event. Tossed three innings over two days at the Future Games, sitting 87-91 mph with downward tilt on the fastball, showing solid control of the pitch. Presently, the change-up is his best secondary pitch, showing fastball arm speed, deception, and depth to the offering that flashes hard, late fading action at 78-82 mph. Primarily uses a curveball, when spinning the baseball that shows  11/5 shape, fastball arm speed, and depth at 72-75 mph. However, he flashed a slider with sharpness, tighter spin and late break at 77-80 mph.

Matthew Bihm OF / LHP / Centreville Academy, LA / 2020

Athletic 5-foot-11, 183-pound frame. Left-handed hitter hits from tall, open, athletic setup, working backwards with leg lift, and loose rhythm. Gap-to-gap type approach with level swing path, fluid rhythm, and advanced bat speed; produced exit velocity of 97 mph. Outfielder with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchanges while playing through ball athletically. Long, loose, arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and solid arm strength, produced a positional velocity of 84 mph.  Showed some athleticism running a 7.05 60-yard dash.

Tre' Morgan 1B / OF / Brother Martin , LA / 2020

Athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame, athletic build, long limbs, room to project. Fluid athletic runner that posted a 7.16 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, solid lower half and balance. Line drive, pull type hitter with fluid rhythm, flat path that flashed ability to create natural life showing strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 92 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, developing footwork and above average athleticism for his position. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with arm strength and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 81 mph.

Alex Milazzo C / OF / Zachary, LA / 2019

Currently ranked No. 7 in Louisiana's 2019 class, No. 118 Overall. Medium 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame, athletic build. Premium, elite defender with soft hands, quick, athletic footwork, above average receiving ability and quality blocking skills. Extremely quick and clean transfers with short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and plus carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph and a pop time of 1.86-seconds. Showed off his big arm strength all weekend, keeping runners honest with lightning quick back-pick attempts, and cutting down the only steal attempt against all weekend with consistent strong, accurate throws.  Right-handed hitter that hits from an athletic setup, smooth load, leg lift and quality lower half. Gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, short  path, advanced approach and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 90 mph. Also posted a 6.93 60 yard dash.

Cade Doughty SS / OF / Denham Springs, LA / 2019

Louisiana State recruit, currently ranked No. 1 in Louisiana’s 2019 class, No. 10 Overall. Athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame, wiry strength, room to add strength and size. Extremely advanced bat with barrel awareness, strength and bat speed. Hits to all fields and showing power to his pull side, posting an exit velocity of 95 mph as well. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and explosive lower half.  Gap to gap, line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm and a level path that creates natural leverage. Solid defender with average hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, and plays through balls well. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 86 mph. Quality athlete that posted a 6.75 60 yard dash.

Davis Meche SS / RHP / Barbe , LA / 2020

Athletic 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame, room to add strength. One of the top 2020 prospects in Louisiana, high-energy player with advanced feel for the game. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchanges, plays through balls athletically, and shows advanced understanding of infield play. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 84 mph. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and excellent balance. Line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm, short, level path, advanced feel to hit and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 87 mph. Also posted a 7.11 60-yard dash.

Jace Pendarvis OF / RHP / Central Private School, LA / 2019

Athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame, strong build. Quality athlete that posted a 6.94 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load and short stride. Line-drive type hitter with rhythm, short path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of  87 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchanges and fields athletically. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws producing a positional velocity of 90 mph. Right-hander with medium arm stroke into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Fluid rhythm with in-line direction, creates deception with his front side, level shoulders, lands square and finishes athletic. Showed ability to pump strikes, working fast, and pitched 85-88 mph with late life on his fastball. Displayed feel to spin a quality breaking ball with 10/4 shape, tight spin and depth at 75-76 mph.

Athletic 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame, wiry build, long levers, plenty of room to project. Quality athlete with long strides and fluidness when running that posted a 6.75 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and quality balance. Gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, level to slightly uphill path, strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 97 mph. Athletic defender with average hands, fluid footwork, and clean transfers. Long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy, and plus carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 90 mph. The athleticism has translated well to mound, showing a fluid, athletic delivery that is surprisingly polished, considering the lack of time on the mound to this point in his career. Long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quality arm strength and little effort. Fluid rhythm throughout delivery, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Pitched 84-86 mph with his fastball during his two-inning outing on Friday, showing an ability to consistently throw strikes. Also flashed a quality feel for breaking ball with 11/5 shape, quality depth, solid spin, and occasional sharpness with late break at 72-75 mph.

Collier Cranford SS / 2B / Zachary, LA / 2019

Athletic 6-foot, 162-pound frame, wiry build, room to add strength and size. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, quick, clean exchanges showing instincts and feel for infield play. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with quality arm strength and carry on throws across the infield, posting positional velocity of 86 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and balance throughout the swing. Line-drive type approach with fluid rhythm, simple, direct path to the baseball with bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 82 mph. Showed quality athleticism, posting a 6.84 60-yard dash time.
