Scouting Report

 

Long 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, projection to an athletic, lean build. Frame is beginning to fill out, strong lower half, wide, broad shoulders that can hold added strength. Athletic, in-line delivery with low effort. Easy, medium arm action into high ¾ arm slot, hides the baseball well, creates deception working downhill with steep tilt. Pitched 82-85 mph with fastball, showed above average command of the zone. Fastball has steep plane with arm-side run and late life. Attacked hitters in the strike zone, pitched to both sides of the plate. Showed advanced feel for breaking ball at 70-74 mph. Spins tightly with 1/7 shape, showed solid depth to it, flashed ability to back-door and back-foot to right-handed hitters. Change up is a developing pitch, shows feel with deception at 73-74 mph but occasionally backs off of it.
