Player Spotlight: OF Kameron Edwards

We've had several looks at Kameron this off-season and in the early spring with Barbe. Run tool has improved drastically and his overall strength has taken a jump. Consistent, even keel approach to the game with game changing ability. Continues to progress with each look. Another guy for college coaches to get in to see once the dead period is lifted. Athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame. Left-handed hitter that starts from a tall, balanced setup. Smooth leg lift loading into a short stride with a short, loose stroke and high finish through the zone that created ground ball/line-drive contact; posting an exit velocity of 87 mph. Defender works through ball well with athletic footwork and receptive hands out front. Clean exchanges as he works into crow-hop with a shorter arm action and a high-3/4 release producing an outfield positional velocity of 82 mph. Above average run tool, turned in a 6.59 60-yard dash.
