On Saturday, November 7, more than 50 of the top prospects from across the state of Louisiana participated in the Prep Baseball Report Pre-Season All-State Games at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.

Today, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at the infielders that were in attendance.

1. Jake Slaughter, INF, Ouachita Christian HS(2016)
A 6-foot-2, 198-pound infielder with a strong, athletic frame. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange and plays through balls athletically. A 6-foot-1, 200-pound infielder with a strong, athletic frame. Outstanding athlete that posted 6.51 60 yard dash. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange and plays through balls athletically. Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, explosive lower half and solid balance. Gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, level path, and explosive bat speed that produced an exit velocity 96 mph.

3. Josh Smith, INF, Catholic(BR) HS(2016)
A 5-foot-9, 170-pound infielder with an average, athletic frame. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, quick and clean exchange, and plays through balls well.
