The Senior Games took place on Saturday, September 30th, at Nicholls State University, in Thibodeaux, LA. The event saw thirty 2018 prospects perform in front of several college coaches and the Prep Baseball Report scouting staff.

Today, we dive further into the event with analysis of the outfielders in attendance.

Carson Balthazar OF / C / Central(BR), LA / 2018 Rankings  StateRank: 36 / POS: 10 Medium 6-foot, 180-pound frame, physical, athletic build. Excellent athlete that posted a 6.76 60-yard dash. Quality defender with average hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange and plays through ball athletically. Long gather into short, high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 77 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth leg kick load, short stride and good lower half use. Line-drive, gap to gap type approach with fluid rhythm, level path into slight up hill finish and quality bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 89 mph.

Matthew Barthelemy RHP / 2B / Belle Chasse, LA / 2018 Rankings  StateRank: 25 / POS: 9 Athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame. Solid athlete running a 6.87 60-yard dash. Infielder with decent hands and footwork, making quick, clean exchanges while playing through ball athletically. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy, produced a positional velocity of 85 mph. Outfielder with developing hands, fluid footwork, clean exchanges while fielding balls deep. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with some accuracy on throws, produced a positional velocity of 90 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, working backwards with leg lift load, landing with weight behind front foot. Line-drive type approach with direct path working inside the baseball and hand speed that produced an exit velocity of 85 mph

Christopher Berry OF / 2B / Evangel Christian Academy, LA / 2018 Medium, athletic 5-foot-8, 165-pound frame. A right-handed hitter with tall, stack setup and high hands. Leg lift/ knee-to-knee type load with some length in stride and solid lower half use. Level path, line-drive approach with fluid rhythm and an exit velocity of 89 mph. Outfielder that works through ball athletically with average hand and choppy footwork. Quick, clean exchange into a short, high- ¾ release recording a positional velocity of 80 mph. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash.

Cameron Cluney OF / RHP / St. Paul's , LA / 2018 Long limbed 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with room for added strength. Outfielder with decent hands, smooth footwork and long, clean exchanges while playing through ball athletically. Short, high-3/4 arm action with stiffness and accuracy, developing arm strength, recorded a positional velocity of 82 mph. Right-handed hitter hits from tall, athletic setup, with smooth leg lift load, and loose rhythm, diving on front side. Long, uphill swing path, with gap-to-gap approach; produced exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.01 60-yard dash.

Roderick Coffee OF / 1B / Central(BR), LA / 2018 Rankings  StateRank: 46 / POS: 13 Lanky 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame, lean, athletic build with room to add strength. Quality defender with average hands and clean exchanges. Long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and life on throws producing a positional velocity of 88 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from tall, athletic stance with a smooth knee-to-knee type load. Gap to gap contact with some rhythm, slightly uphill path with length and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 96 mph, while finishing on backside. Also posted a 7.22 60-yard dash.

Collin Dugas OF / Acadiana , LA / 2018 Medium, athletic 5-foot-7, 151-pound frame. Left-handed hitter that hits from a tall, stacked setup with high hands. Smooth, subtle load and short stride, working hands back wrapping barrel behind his head, landing balanced and on time. Line drive type contact with slight uphill finish that produced an exit velocity of 84 mph. In the outfield he worked through ball with aggressive footwork and average hands with clean exchanges. Tre Dupont OF / St John , LA / 2018 Rankings  StateRank: 134 / POS: 26 Average 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, athletic build. Left-handed hitter that hits from tall, balanced setup, with simple, choppy load, and short stride. Line drive type approach with level, lengthy path and stiffness in swing, produced exit velocity of 82 mph. Defender with decent hands and deliberate footwork with clean exchanges. Short, stiff arm action into high-3/4 release, that produced a positional velocity of 73 mph. Posted a 7.25 60-yard dash time.

Dalton Durkes OF / Houma Christian , LA / 2018 Rankings  StateRank: 139 / POS: 28 Average 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame, lean, athletic build. Solid athlete that posted a 7.08 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, hands held close to shoulder. Leg lift load working on to back side, decent balance at foot strike and solid lower half use.
