A complete recap of the event will be coming in the following weeks, but today our scouting staff has put together a few quick hits from Tuesday’s event:

Although only a rising junior, 2019 SS/2B Brady Faust (Brother Martin HS, LA) is a veteran in the Brother Martin lineup. He missed significant time this spring, due to an injury suffered in football, but the athletic left-handed hitting middle infielder caught the attention of our scouting staff on Tuesday. A long 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame, with room to add strength, Faust hits from tall, athletic setup with looseness in hands.  During batting practice, he showed a simple, direct path to the baseball, and ability to hit to all fields. A quality athlete that posted a 7.00 60-yard dash, his athleticism translates well to the infield, showing fluid footwork with instincts, attacking the baseball, and an understanding of angles.

2019 C Jack Meyer (ED White HS LA) showed quality catch and throw skills from a stocky, durable frame with strong lower half. Meyer showed soft hands, receiving easily and quick, clean transfers with solid arm strength, posting a 1.95-second pop time.

2019 SS/2B Patrick Kennair (Brother Martin HS, LA) showed quick, fluid footwork with quick, clean transfers on the infield. A left-handed hitter, Kennair showed a line-drive approach with fluid rhythm during batting practice.

2018 OF/IF Cameron Daigle (Brusly HS, LA) certainly caught the attention of our scouting staff on Tuesday, showing quality arm strength from multiple positions, as he posted a positional velocity of 87 mph from the outfield, and 83 mph from the infield. Daigle also showed quality athleticism, posting a 6.89 60-yard dash time.

2018 OF/IF Cayden Meeks (West Ouachita HS LA) showed off quality arm strength throughout the day, posting a positional velocity of 87 mph in the outfield and 84 mph in the infield. A strong 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame, Meeks posted a 7.09 60-yard dash, and an 83 mph exit velocity.
