Today, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at three class of 2019 prospects that impressed enough to raise their stock at November’s All-State Games.

Let’s dive into this week’s Stock Watch, featuring 2019 standouts from the All-State Games

Bryce LaRocca 3B / OF / Barbe, LA / 2019

Currently ranked No. 42 in Louisiana's 2019 class. Athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with room to add strength. Right-handed hitter hits from a balanced, athletic setup, works backwards in load with simple leg lift load and short stride. Short, aggressive stroke with leverage, slightly uphill path through finish and fluid rhythm; produced an exit velocity of 82 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, smooth footwork, making clean exchanges while working through ball athletically. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy, produced an outfield positional velocity of 86 mph and infield positional velocity of 75 mph. Also posted a 7.3 60-yard dash.

Eddie Pezant OF / RHP / Central(BR), LA / 2019

Currently ranked No. 56 in Louisiana's 2019 class. Average 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame, lean build with room to add strength. Solid athlete posting a 6.86 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter that hits from a crouch, athletic setup, subtle leg lift load and length in stride. Gap-to-gap approach with level path into uphill finish and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 81 mph. Solid defender that works through ball wells with average hands and smooth footwork. Clean mid-line exchange into short, quick high-3/4 release producing a positional velocity of 86 mph with carry and accuracy on throws.

Will Thompson LHP / Sam Houston , LA / 2019

Currently ranked No. 37 in Louisiana's 2019 class. Lean 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame, athletic build, long levers with room to add strength. Left-handed pitcher with long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 80-84 mph, showing ability to tilt the baseball down in the zone with solid control. Breaking ball showed 2/7 shape, solid spin and quality depth with early breaking and near fastball arm speed at 66-69 mph. Also shows a changeup with fade action, solid deception and fastball arm speed at 66-68 mph.
