Stock Watch: Unsigned Seniors

Today, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at three unsigned seniors that have significantly increased their stock in the recent past. Throughout the spring and summer months, our scouting staff has been on the road scouting high school and legion games, as well as select ball tournaments and its own summer event schedule.
Let’s dive into the unsigned seniors featured in this week’s Stock Watch:
Roderick Coffee OF / 1B / Central(BR), LA / 2018Rankings State Rank:46 POS:14
Large 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. Right-handed hitter that hits from tall, open, athletic setup, with short stride. Long stroke with uphill path and some swing and miss; produced exit velocity of 97 mph. Outfielder with developing hands and footwork, clean exchanges while working through athletically. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with carry on throws, produced a positional velocity of 88 mph. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash.

Reid Dubois SS / 2B / Captain Shreve, LA / 2018Rankings State Rank:56 POS:8
Medium 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame, strong build. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and quality balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, level, slightly uphill path with strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 86 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, solid footwork, and fields athletically. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph. Solid athlete that posted a 7.25 60-yard dash. |
Hayden Charlet C / RHP / West Feliciana, LA / 2018Rankings State Rank:57 POS:6
Lean 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, athletic build. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced, wide setup, works backwards with subtle leg lift, and solid balance. Right field approach with loose, long, rotational path that works around baseball with developing rhythm; produced exit velocity of 85 mph. Catcher with decent flexibilty in setup and soft hands. Long, clean transfers with in line direction on throwing to second, with accuracy. Short high-3/4 arm action recording a positional velocity of 81 mph with a pop time range of 2.06-2.16. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash.
