Slaughter has been a known commodity in Louisiana for some time now. He showed well a year ago at the 2015 Super 60 and continued to surge in the fall. A 6-foot-2, 198-pound infielder with a strong, athletic frame, he is an outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork and a clean exchange. He hits from an athletic set-up and takes a smooth load and short stride. His lower half is explosive and he maintains solid balance. Slaughter is a gap-to-gap hitter with fluid rhythm, a level path and good bat speed. He has consistently shown the ability to hit for average and power.
