Top Uncommitted Junior Arms Remaining

As we enter the last days of the regular season in Louisiana, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana looks at a few junior pitchers that remain on the open market as they head into the all-important summer circuit. As programs around the country will be ramping up their recruiting efforts, juniors around the country will fall off the board raidly. Here are a few players that have had stood out in their junior season’s.

+ Adam Goree, LHP, Barbe HS
A 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed pitcher and first baseman with an average, athletic frame. Left-handed pitcher with a long, loose arm action into a high-3/4 release with solid balance, front side and some effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 84-88 mph with command. Breaking ball showed 2/8 shape with sharp break and fastball arm speed at 72-73 mph. Showed quality changeup with fastball arm speed, fade action at 73-74 mph. Works fast with great tempo, moves the fastball in and out. Outstanding competitor that has already won two state championships.

+ Austin Perrin, LHP, Hahnville HS
A 5-foot-10, 181-pound left-handed pitcher with a medium, athletic frame. Short, clean arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sits 84-86 mph with slight run and command. Breaking ball shows 1/7 shape with sharp action and fastball arm speed at 72-73 mph. Also flashes a changeup with fastball arm speed at 78-79 mph. Shows quality pitchability and competes at high level. On the season Perrin is 6 and 2 with 55.1 innings pitched, a 1.38 ERA and 68 strikeouts to 13 walks.

+ Rafe Schindler, RHP, Chalmette HS
A 6-foot-4, 180-pound right-handed pitcher a long, lean, athletic frame. Clean, athletic delivery with in-line direction, slight stab in arm swing and quick arm speed into a high-3/4 release. Fastball sat 84-87 mph touching 88 mph with solid angle, life and control. Flashes an advanced feel for slider with tight spin, depth and deception at 77-82 mph. Commands two pitches well. Will also show a solid feel for changeup at 79-80 mph with fastball arm speed and fade action. On the season he has 46 innings with an ERA of 1.07 and 64 strikeouts to only 11 walks.

+ Bo Hardin, RHP, Lafayette HS
A 6-foot, 150-pound right-handed pitcher with a lean, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into mid-3/4 release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sits 85-87 mph with command and occasional life. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with near fastball arm speed at 69-70 mph. In addition, shows a slider with 10/4 shape, tight spin, and depth at 75-76 mph. Also flashes changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 76-77 mph. On the season he is 8 and 0 with an ERA of 0.81 in 51.2 innings and 36 strikouts. Outstanding student that scored a 34 on ACT.
