A few weeks ago we looked at five uncommitted 2016 graduates to watch for this summer. Today Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at five more 2016 graduates that have impressed early this summer.

2016 Prospects

+Trey Morgan, C, West Feliciana HS(2016)
A 6-foot, 185-pound catcher and infielder with a strong, athletic frame. Solid overall athlete that runs a 6.94 60 yard dash. Right-handed hitter with simple, compact stroke, ample bat speed and strength at contact. Solid defensive catcher with athletic, loose hips and arm strength with carry on throws.

+Christian Leonard, C, St. Thomas More HS(2016)
A 6-foot-1, 210-pound catcher with a strong, athletic frame. Flashes the ability to catch at the next level with quality arm strength and presence behind the dish, but hands can get stiff and tends to stab. Left-handed hitter with short, compact, flat stroke with bat speed and loads of strength at contact. Shows present pull power with an advanced ability to hit.

+Blake Way, INF, Northshore HS(2016)
A 5-foot-9, 175-pound uncommitted infielder with a short, compact build with clear and present strength. Developed, mature athlete that runs a 6.8 60 yard dash. Raw defender with soft hands, needs to improve on footwork, but can make the move to the outfield if necessary. Right-handed hitter with extremely fast hands, loads of bat speed and strength at contact, creates leverage in the swing and has big pull-side power. Contact point is extremely violent and has shown the ability to consistently hit.

+Tre Turner, OF, Holy Cross HS(2016)
A 5-foot-10, 180-pound outfielder with a strong, compact and athletic frame. Plus runner with elite level fast twitch actions and strength. Solid defender with great speed and tracking instincts. Right-handed hitter with raw bat speed, big strength at contact, developing bat path, and has shown the ability to consistently hit the fastball. Struggles to pick up and hit breaking balls presently, and relies heavily on his raw ability. Also is a two-sport star garnering big interest from major division-1 football programs.

+Mason Matherne, OF, John Curtis HS(2016)
A 5-foot-10, 170-pound outfielder with an athletic, strong frame with fast twitch action. Solid overall athlete that runs well and plays with an extremely high energy level.
