Scouting Report

05/31/21:  Projectable, wiry, and athletic 6'2" 180 lbs. frame that will continue to add strength and physicality as he matures.  The Sterlington product was a standout at our Northern Louisiana Preseason ID in January and that success carried over to the season.  Benson finished his senior year hitting .364 with 5 HR 43 RBI 13 2B's and 1 3B.  On the mound, we've seen Benson work his FB up to 87 mph, sitting 84-86 mph.  Athletic delivery with a loose and easy arm action; there is definitely a lot of upside to what he can be on the mound as well.  He's arguably the top uncommitted 2021 in the state, but that shouldn't be for much longer.
