Below are a few highlights in the updated class of 2018 rankings:

Landon Marceaux RHP / Destrehan, LA / 2018The Louisiana State recruit maintains his status atop the Louisiana class of 2018 rankings, as the 6-foot, 180-pound right-hander had a wildly successful summer, ultimately making the USA 18U National Team. While Marceaux doesn't flash premium velocity, he very well may be the most polished right-hander in the entire 2018 class. His fastball command is highly advanced, as he spots his fastball to both sides of the plate, seemingly playing a leisurely game of catch at 90-91. When Marceaux wants a little more, he can tick up to 93 mph. His fastball also has late arm-side life through the zone. Beyond his fastball command, he has an advanced 77-78 mph curveball with 12/6 shape and depth, as well as an 83-84 changeup with fastball arm action out of the same window. He's extremely relaxed and composed on the mound, and repeats his athletic delivery and throws a high-volume of strikes with three pitches. |

Gavin Dugas SS / Houma Christian , LA / 2018A Louisiana State recruit, Dugas checks in at No. 4 in the updated Louisiana class of 2018 rankings, after the 5-foot-9, 180-pound infielder put on an absolute display at November’s All-State Games. Dugas has a strong, athletic build with defined strength in his wrists and forearms, and a powerful, explosive lower half. An explosive athlete, Dugas posted a blazing 6.50 60-yard dash at the event, as well as an eye-opening 102 mph exit velocity. Additionally, Dugas has developed significantly over the last few years as a defender, improving his arm strength the infield from 74 mph early in his career, to 88 mph this past month. |

Chance Stone 3B / RHP / Sulphur, LA / 2018Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
A Louisiana-Lafayette recruit, Stone has been a staple near the top of the 2018 rankings, however, he jumps to No. 5 in this updated list after an electric performance at November's All-State Games. The strong, athletic 6-foot, 185-pound right-hander pitched 89-91 mph with his fastball that showed life in the zone, which he commanded well in the outing. Stone has always been able to spin the baseball, and the uptick in his fastball velocity only increased the potential of his breaking ball developing into a premium pitch as he advances in the game. The breaking ball spins tightly, showing quality 11/5 shape with depth, sharpness, and late break. |

Destin Dotson LHP / Scotlandville Magnet, LA / 2018Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 1
Perhaps the biggest riser in the updated list, is the uncommitted 6-foot-7, 225-pound left-hander, who climbs to No. 13 in the latest update. Dotson possess the projection many evaluators in the industry love with his long, athletic frame. In his All-State Games outing, he showed a long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort, running his fastball up to 91 mph. Although still a relatively raw product on the mound, interest from both, scouts and recruiters, has heated up recently, as the southpaw has shown an uptick in velocity, as well as overall polish on the mound.
