2023 PITCHER OF THE WEEK

The Louisiana High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

 

 

WEEK 6 PITCHER OF THE WEEK

 

2024 RHP Jace Duhon (south beauregard hs)

 

WEEK 6 STATS

-Record: 2-0

-Innings Pitched: 13 2/3

-Earned Runs: 1

-Hits: 7

-Strikeouts: 21

-Walks: 2

 

Duhon has been firing on all cylinders all season long for South Beauregard and his performance in Week 6 was no different.  The uncommitted right-handed hurler earned two wins on the mound for the Golden Knights last week, after logging 13 2/3 innings and giving up only 7 H and 1 ER with 2 BB and 21 K's.  On Saturday, he toed the rubber against Pine Prairie and tossed a perfect game with 10 K's.
