Weekend Recap: Quick Hits

Over the course of the last week, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana spent time at games all across the state. Every week we will do a short, weekly roundup of prospects seen, as well as noteworthy performances that have been sent in to us. Lets dive into this week’s recap!

+ Tulane commit, Keagan Gillies, was sharp on Saturday night against Holy Cross, throwing a complete game shut out only allowing 3 hits, while striking out 7. Although velocity wasn’t his best (83-86 mph), he showed a plus breaking ball with angle, tilt, depth, and sharp, downer action.

+ Austin Perrin has thrown back-to-back complete game shutout only allowing 7 hits over 14 innings, walking 1 and striking out 13. He now has tallied 74 strikeouts on the season.

+ Jacob Siegel went 2-for-3 with two singles and an RBI on Saturday.

+ Donavon Murray went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

+ Dean Alexander only went 3-for-3 with a triple. On the season he is 5 and 2 with 46.1 innings, 83 strikeouts, 1.36 ERA and WHIP  1.058. He is also hitting .466 with 11 doubles, 1 triple, 1 Home Run and  26 RBI.

+ Evan Vickers went complete game shutout with allowing 2 hits and 6 K's. On the season he is 4 and 1 in 32.1 innings with 35 K's, 3.46 ERA and WHIP 1.39. He is also hitting .509  with 5 doubles, 2 triples, 2 Home Runs,  and 21 RBI.  

+ Ty O’Neal pitched 10 innings this week allowing 1 ER, 6 hits while striking out 7. He is now 4 and 1 with 1 save and an ERA of 1.06.

+ Jake Hammond went complete game allowing three hits with six strikeouts and no earned runs. He now has a season ERA of 2.3.

+ Josh Gann has 39 runs, 26 stolen bases, and 29 RBI on the season while hitting .366 and .520 OBP.

+ Daniel Charbonnet went 4 innings giving up 2 hits, 0 runs with 5 Ks and 1 BB. On the season he is 5 and 0 with 4 shutouts in 34.1 innings, giving up just 4 ER, 44 Ks, 11 BB with an era of 0.82.

+ Brett Fisackerly is hitting .418 with 27 RBI, 3 triples and 2 HR. He is also 2-0 with 25.2 innings, 1.636 ERA and 28 Ks.

+ Austin Frierson went 5 innings giving up 1 hit, 0 runs with 9 Ks and 0 BB. On the season he is 4 and 1 with 3 shutouts in 35.2 innings, giving up just 5 ER, 42 Ks, 14 BB with an era of 0.98.

+ Jonathan Fincher got 2 saves on the week pitching 2.1 innings with 6 strikeouts, climbing his total to 67 on the season.
