Prep Baseball Louisiana: Mizuno Player of the Week (Week 6)
April 2, 2024
The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week. Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week. If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]
While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

Central Private went a perfect 4-0 last week and Broussard was a big reason for the Hawks success. The Baton Rouge Community College recruit went 6-11 (.545) at the plate with 3 HR, 1 2B, and 10 RBI. The majority of his damage done was last Saturday in a big matchup with one of the top Non-Select D-II teams in Brusly. In that game alone, Broussard went 3-3 with 2 HR, 4 RBI, and 2 R. He also was magnificent on the mound for the Hawks, as he earned the win, after tossing 6 2/3 IP giving up 7 H and 1 ER with 1 BB and 3 K's.
