Prep Baseball Louisiana: Scout Blog (Week 4)
March 18, 2024
Week 4 of the 2024 high school baseball season is now complete, and throughout last week, our staff was able to get out and see several new teams and prospects. Today, we continue our coverage of the 2024 high school season with our Week 4 Scout Blog. The Louisiana Scout Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from our scouting staff during the high school baseball season. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else that is notable. We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocities, pop times, home to first times, and more.
Continue to check back here, as our Louisiana Scouting Staff will add scouting reports, upon the completion of each week.
SATURDAY MARCH 16, 2024
+ 2025 LHP Ross Lindsey (Natchitoches Central HS)
Durable 6'1" 190 lbs. frame. The former Future Gamer got the start in our Week 4 Game of the Week against district-rival Benton and turned in a stellar outing. Lindsey attacked hitters with his heater that got up to 89 mph in the 1st and sat around 85-86 mph. It took him an inning or two to find his 74-76 mph CB with big "1-7" shape, but once he found it, he was really able to keep the Tigers hitters off-balance. The Alabama recruit gave up hardly any hard contact and competed his tail off for 5 shutout innings, giving up only 2 H with 1 BB and 10 K's. He earned the no-decision, but Natchitoches Central came out victorious over Benton by a score of 1-0 in 8 innings.
