At 6-7 and 230 Pounds, Ojerholm Finally Getting Looks

WESTON, Ma. - Connor Ojerholm admits to having some doubts when it comes to sports.

“When I was younger I had the idea athletics could open the door for me later in life,” Ojerholm said. “But I wasn’t sure I could do either one, baseball or basketball, good enough.”

That is beginning to change for the top-rated unsigned 2019 player in New England.

“The PBR showcase showed me I’m good enough to play college baseball,” the Rivers School senior noted. “It was very good to help me show my skills pitching.”

The New England Academic Games II showcase in mid-August not only boosted the confidence of Ojerholm, but gave colleges a glimpse at his ability.

“I like the challenge of being able to showcase who I am,” the 6-7 230-pounder noted. “I enjoy being on the mound and enjoy just throwing.”

The University of Massachusetts-Amherst, New Albany and Holy Cross are among those talking to Ojerholm since the event in which he was named the Best 2019 Pitching Prospect while having the Best Fastball, Best Spinball and Best In-Game Playing Performance.
