New England Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #8 Jake Noviello

Jake Noviello#8 Jake Noviello, RHP/3B, Franklin, 2018
Scouting Report: 6-foot-4,190-pound right-hander pitched in the second game of the weekend. The frame projects and the arm works clean. Pitches out of a slightly higher than ¾ arm slot with good leverage to eventually have downward plane on his fastball. The fastball sat 81-83 mph, he struggled with his control throughout the outing. The breaking pitch is slurvy and was 67-71, more hand speed is needed to tighten it up, as it could be an out pitch. The changeup is currently his best pitch, at 71-74 mph it has plus fade and action to it. The changeup is definitely an out pitch at the next level. Interesting follow as I have seen him throw better, he competes and wants the ball.

Overview: In 2016, the 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher comes in at the 39th spot in the 2018 class. During 2016, Noviello took part in the 2016 Future Games for Team Massachusetts and did a great job. Look for the righty to continue to develop in 2017 and find the right spot for him college wise soon.
