PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?

Fitzgerald: I have heard from University of Maine Orono, Quinnipiac, Long Island University Brookline, Southern New Hampshire University, St. Anselm College, Bridgewater State, Springfield College, and Framingham State.

PBR: Have you developed a relationship with any specific coaches?

Fitzgerald: Not yet, I am still very early in the recruiting process.

PBR: Have you taken any visits? If so, please describe each visit.

Fitzgerald: Yes I have visited St. Joseph’s College of Maine, Springfield College, and University of Southern Maine.

PBR: Do you have any visits scheduled?

Fitzgerald: Yes, I am visiting Assumption College, Bridgewater State, and Salem State all within the next month. I plan on visiting several other schools over the course of the year.

PBR: Do you have any offers at this stage?

Fitzgerald: No, I have no offers at this time.

PBR: Do you have a timeline for your recruitment?

Fitzgerald: Ideally, I would love to be committed to a school by the start of my senior year. However, I will wait as long as it takes to find a school that offers not only a good baseball program, but also offers what I’m looking for academically and socially.

PBR: Do you have a favorite at this stage? If so, who and why?

Fitzgerald: At this time I do not have a favorite, but I really liked the campus at St. Joseph’s College.

PBR: What showcases or events have been most meaningful to your recruitment thus far?

Fitzgerald: Playing in the Showcase League this past fall for Team MA Gold resulted in several contacts and camp invites from colleges. I just recently attended a showcase at Northeastern University in which several college coaches were in attendance. I am hopeful that some new opportunities will arise from this.

PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?

Fitzgerald: My current GPA is a 3.0 and I will be taking the SAT for the first time this spring.
