Steve Passatempo, OF, Salisbury School, Class of 2015

PBR: Why did you choose UMass-Lowell?

Passatempo: UMass Lowell felt right for me. Close to home for my family to watch me and the coaches really made me feel like it was the right fit. I can’t wait to play for Coach Harring and Pelletier.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Passatempo: I was considering BC, Bryant, Tennessee Martin, URI, and Louisiana Monroe.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals for your senior season?

Passatempo: I’m a post-grad at Salisbury School right now and I want to focus on maintaining my 3.4 GPA and go into college more mature and ready to take on the college life.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most memorable experience?

Passatempo: I play for the East Cobb New England Expos, and we came in 5th out of 310 teams in the 2013 17u WWBA.  It was a great experience for me and my team, really put our team on the map.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you’ve faced in the state?

Passatempo: The toughest pitcher I had to face in state was during my senior year at Malden Catholic. Chris Murphy from Billerica, got drafted in the late rounds committed to Maine.
