The Hotlist: Uncommitted 2019 Catchers

Over the course of the next few weeks, The Hotlist will examine the top uncommitted 2019 prospects by position. While the speed of recruiting seems to be redlining, there is a ton of talent still available for college programs, not to mention that there is no reason for any players to be wringing their hands over committing just yet. We started the series with pitchers. Now, we take a look at the available catchers.

Nolan Ackerman, C/3B, Chaparrel HS, CO
Ackerman, a 5-foot-11, 160-pounder, plays hard behind the plate. He has recorded an in-game pop time of 1.9 seconds and throws 76 from the crouch. At the plate, the has a slightly open stance and is short to the ball. He’s a line-drive hitter with bat speed and runs the 60-yard dash in 7.3 seconds.
