The Massachusetts Big Board: Top Uncommitted Underclass Corner Infielders

By Dennis Healy
PBR MA Director of Scouting

Throughout the month we look to highlight some of the top uncommitted talent. Below we would like to showcase four of the top uncommitted class of 2016 corner infielders from the Massachusetts area.

Top Uncommitted 2016 Corner Infielders

Jake Goodreau, 1B/3B, Southwick Tolland, 2016

Jake lets his bat do the talking and should be a big offensive threat at the next level. His position should end up being first base and may be a middle of the order type bat. Keep an eye on this guy cause he fits the mold of big and left handed as well.

Alex Brickman, 3B/RHP,Worcester Academy, 2016

Alex is a good looking two-way prospect who plays third base and also pitches when he isn’t at the hot corner. His bat has serious potential and could be a high level bat at the next level. Brickman shows plenty of arm strength and will probably move from third at the next level if they decide to use him on the mound as well, saving on his arm. He fits in with a plethera of big physical hitters in Massachusetts right now

AJ Difillipo, 3B, Belmont HIll, 2016

AJ is a plus athlete who is currently playing third base. His left-handed bat has life and we look for that to take him to the next level. His swing is loose and he shows the ability to handle the barrel. Difillipo is a solid defender and his arm is certainly playable. AJ is a good looking prospect for the 2016 class.

Liam Moreno, C/3B, Beaver County, 2016

Liam is a 6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitting catcher/third baseman. His set up at the plate is even and he shows good bat speed with a high finish. Moreno has a little lift in his swing but that should polish up as he grows. His arm will be fine, and has more in there if his slot lowers. Liam is a decent runner and has good feet behind the dish and in the field. Moreno is a very good follow.
