PBR Maryland Spotlight series takes a look at players that have attended past PBR events. With fall now in full swing, we will take a look back at players that attended events over the course of our first summer.

Player Name:  Kaleb Cline
Primary Position:
SS
High School:
James M. Bennett
Grad Year:
  2017

Scouting Report:  Kaleb shows some length with an athletic and projectable frame at 6-foot 154-pounds. Cline attended two events this summer, the Western Maryland Prospect ID and the Eastern Shore showcase. He displays soft hands and fluid footwork with a clean exchange. Short arm action from a low ¾ arm slot with some carry on throws at 77 mph. Hits from a balanced set up with a stride that gets slightly closed. Has quick bat speed and a short bat path. Pull type hitter right now with potential to be a gap-to-gap style with more extension through contact. Fluid rhythm. His best exit velocity was at Western Maryland getting up to 86 mph and ran a 7.62 60 yard dash at both events. Projects possibly at third base currently but as he improves his speed has the hands that could play the middle. Interesting 2017 to keep an eye on.
