Scouting Report

10.7.17 - Southern Maryland Open

Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds. Hits from an athletic setup at the plate. Short and simple load with small leg lift to hitting position and short hand movement. Takes a direct path to the ball with some extension through contact. Gap-to-gap type hitter with pull side pop. Some balance throughout and could get more from lower half explosion. 87 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in the outfield, his 6.89 speed shows that he should be able to cover some ground. Sound arm action throwing from a high three quarter slot. Position velo of 81 mph from both outfield and infield, where he is more than capable around the bag at first base with nice athleticism. ---- Controlled delivery with slight pause at high balance. Works out immediately after leg lift with some backside involvement. Finishes slight to third base side, but gets back leg to work some. Hips and shoulders work together, think he could create more torque with more closed shoulders prior to footstrike, which could create more explosion that could benefit his lower half. Nice command on the moun dwith a fastball up to 81 that had slight fade. Breaking ball had shorter 1/7 action on the pitch up to 68. Change up had dive at 71 mph. Interesting two way prospect who should be a nice addition.

2.21.16 - Athletic frame at 6-foot-, 180-pounds. Sound arm action pitching from a high ¾ arm angle. Shows average arm speed and has some rhythm in delivery. Pitched in a controlled delivery to balance. Nice direction toward the plate. Could get more lower half to allow the hips to get over front side. Fastball has slight sink to the pitch topping out at 71 mph. Breaking ball has gradual break with 1/7 shape at 64 mph. Change up has dive to the pitch and cuts at times at 65 mph.
