Scouting Report

8.11.15 - Athletic frame at 6-foot-1 165 pounds. Throws from a high ¾ arm angle with loose arm action and quick arm speed. Has a controlled delivery and pitches with regular effort. Square landing in-line to the plate with clean finish. Fastball has slight cut to it at 83 mph. Breaking ball has near fastball arm speed with 10/4 shape at 70 mph. Throws a knuckle ball with near fastball arm speed and late sink at 74 mph. Athletic on the mound and has more in the tank.    Switch hitting prospect is more developed from the right side and shows better rhythm. Hits from a balanced set up slightly open. Level path to the ball with some lower half usage. Get a bit of extension and looks to have potential pop. Best exit velocity was from right side at 84 mph. Hits from a balanced set up from left side. Level bat path to contact with average bat speed. Average balance and slightly stiff on the left side. From the outfield has active feet with sound hands and exchange. Plays thru the ball well with a loose arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws had life on them at 88 mph. Will get even faster as he improves first step. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash.

Scouting Report

7.7.15 - Compact frame at 5-foot-9, 160-pounds. Hits from a slightly open set up.  Quick load and short stride.  Short bat path with barrel that gets in and out of zone. Nice balance in swing with high finish. Exit velocity of 78 mph.  From the outfield throws from a high ¾ arm angle.  Has active feet and moves well in the outfield. Plays thru the ball and has some carry on throws at 78 mph.  Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Has a controlled delivery with a quick rhythm.  Shoulders are slightly uphill but does not work against delivery.  Creates quick arm speed with a sound arm action. Pitches with some effort. Throws from a high ¾ arm angle. Fastball has slight run to the pitch up to 82 mph. Breaking ball has tight rotation and late break to the pitch with 11/5 action.  Throws the pitch with near fastball arm speed at 70 mph. AS pitch gets more consistent, should be a nice late breaking pitch.  Change up is thrown with near fastball arm speed and has fade to the pitch at 74 mph.
