The Commitment Corner spotlights those Maryland high school student-athletes who have made their decision on where to play their college baseball. This is a unique opportunity to get to know several of the states top talent and gain insight into their recruitment process and ultimately what made them choose the school they did. Today we speak with: Travis Garnett

PBR MD:  Why did you choose Maryland?

  • I chose the University of Maryland because of my rapport with the coaches, the school’s academic reputation, and the opportunity to represent my home state.

PBR MD:  What do you plan to major in at Maryland?

  • Business/Finance

PBR MD:  What are some of your goals you would like to achieve at Maryland?

  • Help the team win a BIG 10 Title and National Championship.

PBR MD:  What other schools recruited you?

  • Duke and West Point

PBR MD:  What was your favorite part about the recruiting process?

  • My favorite part of the recruiting process was attending the 2018 PBR Future Games in Indiana. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet and play against so many elite players. At no other time have I been to an event where I was seen by so many college scouts and coaches.
