Throughout Wednesday, July 26-Saturday, July 30, 2023 Prep Baseball Report Future Games were held in Emerson, Georgia at our LakePoint Sports Complex. For this event the various PBR staffs from around the country selected the best uncommitted rising juniors and sophomores to form teams to represent their state or region in the event, bringing well over 450 of the best uncommitted players in the United States and Canada to one four field quad for 4 days.

For this event, players from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and DC were selected to form Team Mid-Atlantic. Players on Team Mid-Atlantic had a position player showcase workout on Wednesday and then played in three games, one per day, Thursday-Saturday, going 1-1-1 against Team Florida, Team Carolinas, and Team California. Scouts from all 30 MLB teams and well over 350 college coaches were in attendance.

Naill's Analysis

Jordan Regulski RHP / SS / North Dorchester, MD / 2025

There’s plenty to be excited about from the long 6-foot-3, 160 pound lean righty. It’s a repeatable delivery from a three quarter slot with clean arm action and easy intent, showcasing the ability to fill up the zone with all three pitches. The fastball works in the upper 80’s, topping out at 89 with the ability to change eye levels and induce swing and miss at the top of the zone. Relatively low spin at an average of 2,000 rpm, the fastball does show plenty of ride through the zone, up to 20 inches of carry with the ability to work both sides of the plate. The ability to get ahead early in the count with the fastball at the knees proves to pay dividends, allowing the fastball to play at the top of the zone. Really liked the look of the breaker, showcasing bigger 11/5 shape that got up to 18 inches of sweep and induced consistent weak contact in the zone. The ability to tunnel the fastball and breaker is advanced which induced some uncomfortable swings both in and out of the zone. A changeup is also featured, killing the spin and living down at the knees that proved effective against left-handed hitters. It’s a raw, young arm that has jumped onto the scene this year that continues to trend in the positive direction. Look for velo to continue to rise with added strength to the frame, and as flexibility remains constant, this is an arm that looks to be at the top of the class for a long time.
