Scouting Report

2.25.17 - Solid frame at 5-foot-11, 215-pounds. Side step rocker delivery with nice tempo throughout. Longer arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Creates quick whip through release point. Gets some lower half involvement but could get more usage through backside. Fastball has slight sink to the pitch with some tilt on his fastball. topped out at 83 mph and ranged from 80-82. Slows up on his change up but shows nice command of the pitch with fading action up to 71 mph. Breaking ball has gradual 11/5 action on the pitch with slower arm speed. Breaking ball up to 66 mph.  Both off speed pitches could get better action with nearer fastball arm speed on pitches. Interesting prospect as has only recently moved to the mound.

2.27.16 - Solid frame at 5-foot-11, 205-pounds. Hits from an athletic set up with high hands. Short load with small stride. Level swing path with bat speed. Gets some lower half involved and has power potential. Nice extension. Gets out of balance at times. Strong frame and gets good barrel on the baseball. Exit velocity of 83 mph.  Low athletic stance receiving. Sticks ball well. Sound footwork with clean exchange. Short arm action and quicker feet should lower pop, which was as low at 2.07 with a 75 mph velocity.  Interesting prospect in the 2018 class.
