Summer season means that recruiting for most college programs is about to shift into second gear. Coaches travel the land high-and-low in their attempt to find future players to better their roster. As a player, this can be a nerve racking time. There is no need to panic, as coaches will be out to see you play. Control the controllable things and work on your game.

PBR Maryland will be doing features throughout the summer highlighting players that have the ability to play at the college level. Today we focus on John Palin, a corner infielder from Beltsville, MD that is in a unique situation.

Scouting Report

John PalinPut together with a solid frame at 5-foot-11 205-pounds. He has a longer arm action and throws from a high arm angle. Fluid footwork and a clean exchange with some carry on his throws at 82 mph across the infield. He hits from an athletic setup with rhythm in his swing and slightly open stance. Strong and handles bat with barrel control. He is a gap-to-gap type hitter with fast bat speed and has power potential.Strength and physical stature make him interesting prospect. His exit velocity was 88 mph and runs a 7.44 60 yard dash.
