Top 2019 Future Games Trials Outfielders:

Tyler Blittersdorf C / OF / John Carroll, MD / 2019

Blittersdorf had one of the best workouts on the day. The class of 2019 prospect demonstrated his versatility to play all over the field as he showed in the outfield, at third base, behind the plate, and on the mound. His pops averaged 2.07 (2.00 best) and were on the money all five times. At third base, he was smooth, showed good hands and had quick exchange. Even more impressive however was his two rounds of BP. Blittersdorf hits from a wide stance using a leg kick for rhythm and timing. He has a more compact swing and does a nice job staying behind the ball. He is a line drive, gap to gap hitter with present pull-side power from the left side of the plate. Blittersdorf was also 77-80 on the mound topping at 82 mph with a 63-65 mph breaking ball with 11/5 shape, 72-74 mph change-up, and 70-71 mph 10/4 slider.

Chris Roberts OF / 2B / John Carroll, MD / 2019

Roberts has a level swing path at the plate. Line drive type hitter with occasional pull side pop. Has a tendency to get long with his swing. (79 mph OF Velo and 81 mph Exit Velo).

Top 2020 Future Games Trials Outfielders:

Charles Hafer III OF / C / John Carroll, MD / 2020

At the plate, Hafer is aggressive and attacks the ball with a shorter compact swing. His hands and bat are quick (89 mph exit velo). Hafer took two nice rounds of BP hitting several line drives all over the field and showed some power to the gaps. He is also a versatile player defensively as he can catch and play the outfield.

Gary Hallmen Jr OF / RHP / John Carroll, MD / 2020

Hallmen Jr. showed off a strong arm from the outfield (OF Velo: 82 mph). Compact, level swing path at the plate and used the whole field during BP. More of a line drive type hitter with quick hands. Has a tendency to pull off the ball at times. Also showed some versatility pitching in a bullpen at the Future Games Trials. Sat 77-79, topped out at 80 mph with a 66-69 mph breaking ball with 12/6 shape and a 74-76 mph change-up.

Sean Kelly OF / 3B / Loyola Blakefield, MD / 2020

Defensively, Kelly attacks the ball and hit 80 mph OF velo. He hits from an open stance and uses a leg kick to load. Good balance, attacks the baseball and stays on it well. Line drive type hitter who uses the entire field.

Joe Radek OF / RHP / McDonogh, MD / 2020

Radek took two really nice rounds of BP at the Future Games Trials. He hit several lines drives and showed occasional power driving one 3/4 the way up the center field batter's eye at the University of Maryland. His 87 mph exit velo should continue to jump as he get bigger and stronger.

Nathan Turner OF / 1B / Dover (DE), MD / 2020

Projectable frame at 6’1’’ 170 lbs. Turner starts with his feet closer together at the plate and loads using a small controlled leg kick. Smooth swing and great swing path. Really does a nice job staying behind the ball. Ball jumps off the bat as he showed some pull side pop in BP. Will be very interesting to see how his power progresses at the plate as he fills out.

Top 2021 Future Games Trials Outfielders:

Jack Belbot OF / RHP / Loyola Blakefield, MD / 2021

5’11’’ 155 lb. frame. Line drive type hitter from the left side now. Good swing path, power projected at the plate as he continues to grow and gain weight. 80 mph OF Velo. Also threw a bullpen and was 78-80 mph with some sink action on the fastball, 68-70 mph on the breaking ball with tight 11/5 shape, and 68-71 mph on the change-up with fade.

Cody Kurek OF / LHP / John Carroll, MD / 2021

Kurek took two really nice rounds of BP from the left side at the Future Games Trials. He uses a toe tap for rhythm to get into his load and separation. A line drive type hitter who uses the whole field in his approach at the plate.

Thomas Joseph 1B / OF / Archbishop Spalding, MD / 2021

Joseph starts open at the plate and creates good separation. Aggressive swing and really attacks the ball (Exit Velo: 86 mph). Line drive type hitter.

Top 2022 Future Games Trials Outfielders:

Jordan Reiswig C / OF / Bel Air, MD / 2022

Reiswig showed in the outfield and behind the plate. From the outfield he hit 82 mph OF Velo and behind the plate he threw an average 2.13 pop (2.09 best). A very projectable frame at 6’2’’ 175 lbs., Reiswig is more of a line drive type hitter right now with occasional pop to the gaps. He creates good separation at the plate and really fires his lower half. There is more power in his bat and he will certainly be a fun one to watch.
