This Saturday we went to Georgetown Prep for first session of the DiamondSkills All-American camp. Still early in the year, players are now just starting to get into their season form. Hitters usually stick out the most at this point and pitchers are just now beginning, or soon will begin, to get back on the mound to start their preseason training. Multiple players going at once made it tough to lock in on one person for any given amount of time. With that in mind, here are some notes on just a few of the many players that we saw during the workout.
+2016 No. 1 ranked in the state Matt Mervis (Duke) of Georgetown Prep looks to already be near in-season form at the plate.
