sPBR Notes

8.4.16 - Athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 180-pounds. Continued to show why he is the top uncommitted outfield prospect in Maryland after his workout for team Mid-Atlantic. Athletic actions from the outfield with carry on his throws showing improved arm strength now up at 85 mph. Slightly open set up at the plate. Showed power potential at the plate with a smooth, quick swing that shows ability to elevate and drive the baseball. Reached an exit velocity of 94 mph. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash.

Murphy has been another constant in the PBR Maryland class of 2018 rankings since our initial release of the rankings in May of 2015. The strong-bodied outfielder is currently ranked No. 6 in Maryland and No. 295 Overall. Murphy was part of Team Mid-Atlantic at the PBR Future Games and made his commitment to High Point University this fall.
