Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive year-round coverage in every state we are in. The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to scout and promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level.

The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state. Evident in the fact that Prep Baseball Report has more full-time scouts than any other independent amateur scouting company in the country.

Scouting Report

9.11.16:  Wargo is 5-10 with an athletic frame and ran a 7.51 60 yard dash. He hits from the right side from an athletic stance. Good rhythm, smooth load back and a short leg kick stride. Decent lower half and good balance throughout his swing. Hands get to the ball quickly, mostly level swing, sometimes getting uphill with extension through the ball. Pull approach with power potential, exit velocity was 80. Behind the plate, receives the ball well with soft, firm hands. Quick, clean exchange with good footwork, short arm action that is loose from a high three-quarters arm slot. Position velocity was 74 with pop times from 1.95 to 2.05, arm was accurate.

8.9.16 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 193-pounds. Hits from an athletic set up. Smooth load to hitting position. Level swing path with some bat speed and stays inside the ball well. Shows some rhythm throughout. Could free hands up a bit. Looks to have some power potential at the plate. Gets around the ball at times. Clean quick exchange with quick catch and throw ability. Short arm action and pop time ranged from 2.01 – 2.13. Very interesting young prospect to keep an eye on to monitor.

Jeremy Arocho

Class of 2017 / SS

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2017
    Commitment: Maryland
  • Primary Position: SS
  • High School: Old Mill
    State: MD
  • Height: 5-7
    Weight: 155lbs
  • Bat/Throw: S/R

Scouting Report

8.1.16 Currently the Top ranked 2017 in Maryland, Arocho is a premier defender at a premium position (SS). Has a very confident first step and lighting fast hands as he fields and gets rid of the ball. Throws have carry across the diamond and are accurate.  A switch-hitter offensively, Arocho still has room to develop at the plate. A typical top of the order type hitter, Arocho handles the barrel and does an excellent job of placing bunts down and getting on base. Has a short swing and lower half gets him in trouble at times.

7.17.16 - + SS Jeremy Arocho (Old Mill HS, MD) was manning second base and made some good plays in the field. On second hitter of the game, he fielded a ball to his right and made an exchange behind his legs before making the throw to first. He also laid down a bunt single in his first at-bat and got down the line in 3.89 seconds from the right side.

3.28.16 - No. 1 in the 2017 MD rankings, SS Jeremy Arocho showed off his arm strength on a backhanded play deep in the third base hole and throwing a ball with life across the infield off his back foot. He also showed the ability to get rid of the ball quickly and adjust the effort of his throws depending on the runner. He showed soft hands with a  quick exchange with a quick and confident first step. Offensively Arocho displayed some bat speed and was short to the ball. His first step and his speed was what stood out the most. I don't remember him running as well. Was timed during one at bat at a 4.3 home-to-first and had a couple stolen bases. Looks and plays the part.

5.14.15 - 2017 SS Jeremy Arocho, currently ranked fifth in class of 2017, shows advanced ability and awareness as an infielder.  A quick first step with smooth actions and strong defensive ability. As he gets stronger his arm strength should increase to play the shortstop position.  Could work on taking better angles to the ball.  Quick out of the box with bat speed as a left-handed hitter.

Scouting Report

10/24/17 - Jupiter Day 4 Notebook

Greene has long been one of the bigger names in the 2020 class, and he did not disappoint when stepping on the mound in a relief role for the Richmond Braves. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound right hander showcased electric stuff including an explosive fastball that sat 87-91 and jumped out of his hand. He countered the fastball with a hard, 77-79 slider that featured tilt, and was close to being a plus-pitch when at its best. He also showcased a "get me over" curveball at 71 mph that tumbled some with 11/5 shape. Greene demonstrated the ability to sink his fastball to the arm side, and pounded the zone with an electric arm. A gifted athlete, Greene also exhibits the ability to swing the bat. He has quick hands and strong wrists, and hunts fastballs on an uphill plane. An athletic runner, Greene will have a chance to be the next in a long list of talented two-way players at the University of Virginia, where he is committed.

7/1/17

Greene has continued to progress as a player developing into a high level prospect across the country. Hits from an athletic set up with high hands. Nice rhythm in load at the plate with explosive bat speed. Uses his athleticsm to its fullest offensively with power. ---- On the mound has a smooth easy delivery throwing from a high three quarter slot. Ball comes out hard and has been recorded up to 90 mph. Easy effortless delivery with an athletic arm action. More in the tank.

10.6.16 - Greene is a highly projectable athlete with great quick twitch and shows two way potential. Quick hands with a short swing at the plate. Creates some fast bat speed that should turn to some power as he continues to fill out his projectable frame (6-foot-1, 172-pounds). On the mound Greene showed life in his arm with a fastball up to 87 mph hitting it twice coupled with a late breaking 75 mph slider with put-away potential.
