Spencer Dietrich shut down the Old Mill Patriot offense and a six run third inning sparks the Severna Park Falcons to the 10-0 victory over Old Mill.

The Falcons (17-4) did not waste any time scoring in the first off of a Brendan Clark double to right field, scoring Andrew Anawalt from first base. Both teams were quiet until the third inning when the Falcons broke open the game once again with Clark getting the action started. After Anawalt reached on a single with one-out, Clark homered to right-field off Old Mill starter Nate Hammond, putting Severna Park up 3-0. After a walk and a hit-by-pitch, Stephen Boushell hit a double knocking in one more to increase the lead to 4-0. Back-to-back errors by the Patriots then lead to three more Falcon runs and after three the score was 7-0 Severna Park.

The Falcons got one more in the fourth then put the final two runs on the board ending the game due to the 10-run rule in MPSSAA.

Dietrich pitched all five innings for Severna Park, limiting the Patriot offense to five hits while striking out four.  Clark finished 2-for-3 on the day with three RBI. Boushell went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Jeremy Arocho was 2-for-3 to lead Old Mill, who finish their season at 14-7. Severna Park moves on to the Sectional Final against Chesapeake, who advanced beating Arundel 11-7.
